We've specially selected this teapot to brew tea in for three reasons. 1) The basket is large and most of the brewing-water in the teapot sits with the tea leaves. 2)The large stainless steel basket also then allows the tea leaves plenty of space within it for water-contact and diffusion. 3) The multitude of holes in the basket also allows the water to circulate freely during the brewing process aiding in the process of diffusion.
